Greetings Festivarians,

Must all good things end? In the case of holiday-priced tickets for Telluride Bluegrass, the unfortunate answer is "Yes, and sooner than you might think."

Bela Fleck on the Telluride Bluegrass stageDue to a near-record demand for this year's festival tickets, it is likely that these discount 4-day passes will sell-out prior to next Wednesday, January 31. So if you're thinking about spending the first days of summer under the peaks of the San Juan Mountains with the festivarian family listening to the finest acoustic musicians on the planet, you might want to make an early investment toward the most unforgettable weekend of 2007 - June 21-24 in Telluride, Colorado.

These limited holiday tickets are only $145, a discount of $30 from the advance price. Order yours at shop.bluegrass.com or 800-624-2422 / 303-823-0848. While you're there purchase your camping pass for Mary E or Lawson Hill (formerly Telecam), and an optional $5 contribution toward offsetting the carbon dioxide produced by your travel to Telluride. As always, we charge no shipping or handling fees of any kind. And Telluride Bluegrass tickets are fully refundable, with no hassle, if returned by May 11.

Trails around TellurideIf you're traveling to Telluride in an RV, we will be selling a very limited number of RV camping passes for the Coonskin Lot in Telluride starting at 8am MST on Tuesday, January 30. Due to the limited number of these tickets, they will be sold only through our website - shop.bluegrass.com. Mark that date on your calendar - we expect these passes to sell out very quickly.

Need another reason to join us for Telluride Bluegrass... In addition to Alison Krauss, Sam Bush, Chick Corea & Béla Fleck, Emmylou Harris, Yonder Mountain String Band, Jackie Greene, the incomparable Telluride House Band, and the many others on our preliminary lineup? In addition to this year's Telluride Bluegrass making history by being the first truly 100% carbon neutral festival in the US? In addition to the welcoming community of festivarians who will once again reunite on the solstice weekend from around the world? In addition to the morning hikes to some of Colorado's highest waterfalls, a refreshing mid-afternoon mountain bike ride from the top of the free gondola, or a relaxed evening stroll through the historic town of Telluride?

GusterHow about the addition of Guster to the 2007 Telluride lineup. They'll be bringing their melody-minded, breezy, free-spirited, literate pop to the Telluride stage. Keep watching bluegrass.com - we have quite a few more lineup surprises to announce in the coming months.

As if the names Sam Bush, David Grisman, Chris Thile, Marty Stuart, And Ronnie McCoury weren't enough to spell RockyGrass mandolin nirvana, we are proud to announce that one of the instrument's greatest innovators Jesse McReynolds will be celebrating his 60th year in music with us at RockyGrass in Lyons, CO (July 27-29). Jesse's last performance at RockyGrass in 1994 was captured on our RockyGrass Live 1994 Compilation. That CD is available now for only $5 from our Festivarian Mercantile, along with festival tickets and camping - which will likely be sold-out in the spring.

Telluride Bluegrass festivariansWe're still working hard to put together the preliminary lineup for the 2007 Folks Festival, August 17-19. Look for more Folks news in mid-February, including instructor announcements for our Song School - a week of songwriting workshops and inspiration at the Planet Bluegrass Ranch in Lyons, CO (August 12-16).

So, must all good things really come to end? Purchase your holiday-priced Telluride tickets this weekend and turn this minor ending into a grand beginning: the beginning of your journey toward the long days of Colorado summer sun at the greatest festival on the Planet.
