RockyGrass instrument contest finalists (photo: Benko Photographics)For 43 years we've dedicated RockyGrass Sunday morning to the bluegrass gospel. From Andy Statman to twin-dobro gospel chrome, these beloved sets open the final RockyGrass morning with spirit and soul. This year we're proud to announce the return of a Colorado band that made their RockyGrass debut in '99, performed a top-secret set in '09, and celebrated September weekends with their Kinfolk here at the Ranch in Lyons...

As the final main stage announcement of the sold-out 44th Annual RockyGrass (July 29-31), we're excited to welcome the Yonder Mountain Gospel Band!

With the announcement of the complete main stage schedule, it's time to begin planning your RockyGrass days and nights. From Rapidgrass Quintet's opening to the Punch Brothers' "Play and Sing Bluegrass" set on Sunday, the ancient tones of mandolins and banjos will resonate off the St. Vrain cliffs all weekend.

For all you aspiring pickers, spaces are still available in several of this year's instrument contests. Recognized as the Colorado state championships, these competitions recognize top amateur pickers with cash and prizes, including beautiful new instruments from Gibson, Deering, Paul Beard, and J.F. Devereaux. There's still time to enter at shop.bluegrass.com or 800-624-2422.

RockyGrass yoga (photo: Benko Photographics)Thanks to our partners at Gaiam, we'll again be offering free yoga sessions. Join us inside the Festival grounds at 8am each Festival morning. Mats and blocks will be provided.

As our next major innovation in Sustainable Festivation, all food vendors at this year's RockyGrass will be serving food on reusable bamboo-based plates. This groundbreaking new program will dramatically reduce our festival impact with no additional cost or hassle to Festivarians. You'll simply receive your food on a reusable plate and return this plate at the Festival waste stations (upon which we'll wash the plates so they can be reused at our Festivals for years to come). Don't forget to bring your own reusable cutlery/sporks, beer cup, and water bottle!

Kruger Brothers at Telluride BluegrassThanks to everyone who helped make the 43rd Annual Telluride Bluegrass so magical. We'd love to hear about your Festival experience in our online survey. One lucky response will receive a pair of 4-day passes for next year's 44th Annual Festival: June 15-18, 2017.

Congrats to this year's Campsite Challenge winners, the Mary E campsite Solar Solstice, celebrating their honeymoon in an inspiring solar-powered campsite. RockyGrass and Folks Fest campers, be sure to enter your creative, sustainable campsite at the Leave No Trace booth inside the Festival.

After an exciting band contest finals, we're excited to welcome Fireball Mail to the 2017 TBF lineup as this year's band contest winners. Congratulations also to this year's Telluride Troubadour winner Anna Tivel, who performed a gorgeous set on Saturday evening, following the debut of Ryan Adams w/ the Infamous Stringdusters and Nicki Bluhm. Check out a few other Festival highlights from Rolling Stone and the Denver Post.
